For decades, regions of Mindanao, Philippines, have suffered through dozens of failed peace treaties and continual unrest. The poor tactics of the Philippine government, coupled with the propensity for division among the ethnic people groups, have created ample opportunities for the radicalized rebels to destabilize the peace process.

We had one of these moments recently in the Philippines. We have been working tirelessly with some of our NGO partners for months now bringing aid and helping the Philippines people to pick up the pieces in the wake of Haiyan. One of our projects we have been a part of, with some of our amazing NGO partners Hope For the Nations and Ora International, is the “Child Protection Project.” We have been traveling throughout the Philippines providing relief & aid and working to bringing hope to the children and families most affected by the typhoon that hit the Philippines last November.
