Thank You, Responders!

Back in June, we posted news of a fire that devastated one of our homes for rescued girl soldiers, which fortunately happened while the girls were attending school during the day so none of them were hurt. We called on our community to raise the funds necessary to give these girls new clothes, and you responded by completely funding this effort!

Call+Response Raises $7,500 for Our Project in Burma!

Project: AK-47 was honored to partner with C+R as a responding organization through which people could actively seek justice for child soldiers. In a very short amount of time, abolitionists gave $7,500 through C+R for our aftercare project in Burma, 100% of which arrived in our mailbox this week! We are extremely grateful, both to C+R and those who gave, as this means food security and sustainability for the child soldiers we’ve rescued in Burma!

Project: AK-47, Brite Revolution and Mikky Ekko are joining forces to bring you the "Rock Your Tags" event! The night will be built on Project: AK-47's "Wear Their Reality" Dog Tag campaign, in which they've set out to rally 100,000 western advocates for the estimated 100,000 child soldiers of Southeast Asia.
